Heel and Leg Pain
My name is Angie D. I came to Abundance Acupuncture in March of 2007 because I was suffering from heel pain in both feet that was diagnosed as plantar fasciitis and the start of heel spurs. I have had this problem for eight years, but it had gotten worse in the last 7-8 months. When this problem escalated it began to affect my legs and knees. I was unable to wash the dishes unless I knelt on a chair. The pain was a nagging, burning, and drawing sensation from my knees down or from my heels up. It also caused fatigue and made it difficult for me to sleep which left me feeling depressed, irritable, and hopeless. It made it hard for me to walk for any length of time or stand in one area. My body felt so worn out and exhausted that I dreaded what the next day had in store for me.
I tried medications such as Ibuprofen, physical therapy, chiropractic, and cortisone injections to resolve this problem. The cortisone injections had zero results, chiropractic resulted in very little change, and physical therapy only helped when the problem was not very advanced.
I began to feel some improvements in my condition after eight treatments at Abundance Acupuncture. It was like a valve was unplugged and I finally got some air. At this point in time my condition feels 50% better. I now feel like there is an opening or light at the end of the tunnel. I am able to do the dishes without kneeling on a chair and am able to be on my feet for a longer period of time. I have also had significant improvement in my gastrointestinal tract and my back pain feels better. During the treatments I felt my feet and other parts of my body could breathe. The clinic is flowering with beauty and the staff is so caring and sincere.
I would recommend acupuncture to anyone because there are no side effects as there are with medications. Acupuncture has taken the lid off my pain issues with my heels, but I still have some time to improve. I feel confident it will.
