Pain on the left side of forehead |
LI 4 is often recommended for headaches. It is
a balancing point for frontal headaches and pain
around the jaw and teeth. It is a powerful point if pressure
is applied correctly. Gently press the muscle just under the bone up
against the bone until you feel an achy sensation. Presto recommends pressing the point on the LEFT hand to treat headaches on the RIGHT side of the head. LI 4 is easy to reach and can be used by itself or in combination with other points. |

SP 4 Feel up along the inner edge of the 1st metatarsal bone behind the big toe until you find a sensitive area where the bone begins to widen near the joint. |
|||||
SP 4 Is a balancing point for frontal headaches and works well in combination with LI 4. Spleen 4 is also helps improve digestion. If you have a sensitive stomach, nausea, or occasional acid reflux your frontal headache may be related to your digestive problems and SP 4 may be especially helpful. SP 4 may also be combined with PC 6 to reduce digestive problems with or without headaches.

Pain on the left side of forehead | Because the thumb is stronger than the index finger we recommend using the thumb to press on the point. Women with long finger nails may prefer to use the eraser end of a pencil or the rounded end of a marker pen.
Press hard enough to feel an achy sensation. If you do not feel an achy sensation press around the area and try to locate the most sensitive point.
Press on each of these points until you feel a deep achy sensation. Then take 3 or 4 deep, SLOW breaths while continuing to press. | Wrapping the fingers around the hand or foot allows you to gradually press harder and harder until your feel a deep achy sensation.
Wow! That feels Better! |
Did you feel some relief? If your answer is yes
you may feel more improvements if you repeat this treatment after a

returns you may repeat this treatment as often as you wish.
If the pain moves to a new area find the proper treatment
points for the new location and use the new points to eliminate the

Hey! Is this supposed to work? |
No relief? Try these suggestions: 1. Check to be certain that you started by selecting the image that best matches the location of pain on your body. If you can find an image that is a better match try pressing those points. If your pain moves to a new location after you press the first set of points go back to the previous page, select the image that best matches the new pain location, and try using the new points. 2. Check the general area around the point
location by gently pressing to find the most sensitive spot.
Pressing on the most sensitive spot in the area will usually
give you the best results. 4. Try points in the same area but, on the opposite hand, foot, leg, or arm. 5. Select another pain location image that is located close to the pain location on your body. Try using these related point selections to see if you get better results6. Call your local acupuncturist and make an appointment. An individualized diagnosis may be necessary to resolve your condition. |
